Frequently Asked Questions
What is your shop minimum?
Our shop minimum is $50!We go over our pricing in the next question, but if you are ever trying to work within a budget, let us know. We are always willing to try and accommodate to your needs.
How much will my tattoo cost?
On average, our prices range around $150 an hour. That being said, we charge per piece, not by the hour! Any hourly pricing we have up is just to set a baseline for the amount of time we think it will take. It's difficult for us to give you an approximate time or estimate for your tattoo. The tattoo process has many factors that come into play, such as skin type, detail of your piece, how big the area is, along with many other potential factors.Trust is one of the most important parts of the tattoo process! We aim to create a comfortable environment with our clients where we can trust each other to create a unique piece. We highly recommend contacting us on any of our social media platforms and we'll be happy to discuss any questions or concerns you have! Or you can set up a consultation and we can work it out together in person! We are always happy to try and work with your budget and ideas to get you something you're happy with.We are honestly just so honored that we get to work with each and every one of you who has chosen to get tattooed in our shop.

We have online booking through our website, or contact us directly through any of the methods on our Contact us page.

When is the best time to get a tattoo?
This question has different answers for different people. It all depends on your job, vacation plans, etc.
Overall, we like to say that winter is the best time for people to get tattooed. You're not outside in the sun or elements as much, most people aren't vacationing as much in the winter, and there are a lot of birthdays and holidays in the fall and winter season!
What should I wear?
This all depends on where you’re getting it!
For every tattoo, I recommend dressing comfortable as possible and wearing/bringing layers!
And PLEASE don't wear your favorite outfits or light colors! Or accept it might not look like that when you leave!
For upper arm:
- We recommend wearing a tank top or a shirt that you don't mind removing so we have better access to the area. For back pieces:
- We recommend wearing a button down or zip up backwards, that way your artist has easy access to their work area and you don’t have to feel as exposed! For underboob or sternum:
- Pasties and a crop top sweater, that way you can keep your arms warm! For butt pieces:
- Wear some comfy, loose shorts and/ or a thong (depending on placement). Nobody wants to work next to a butt crack, try and make it as comfortable both for yourself and your artist by coming clean and prepared!
What age do I have to be to get work done here?
Technically, there is no legal age limit on piercings or tattoos in Michigan. It is entirely up to the artist or piercer doing the procedure and the guardian of the minor. For Tattoos :
Our artists typically will not tattoo anyone under 15/16 years of age.For Piercings :
Our piercers will pierce earlobes of almost any age. Our piercers will not do any facial piercings or more experienced cartilage piercings on anyone under age 14.
What do I need to have with me to get work done as a minor?
As a minor getting a procedure done, the state of Michigan legally requires us to have :
- A parent/guardian present at the time of the appointment
- The parent/guardians legal ID
- The minor's birth certificateWe will need all of these at every appointment, as long as they are a minor.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, we do have gift cards available for purchase.
They are redeemable with any of our artists, piercers, or even with our merch!
Our gift cards are good for 5 years from the purchase date.
Our gift cards are non-refundable.
Aftercare
Were you too distracted checking out your new body mod that you didn't hear your artist's aftercare tips? Did you lose your aftercare sheet and don't know what to do? We're here for you!!!Aftercare is huge in regards to how your tattoo or piercings will heal and last throughout time. So we're going to break it down for you step by step!
Tattoo Aftercare
- If you’re given Saniderm, Dermshield, or any other type of “second skin” wrap, the first few days of having your tattoo are the easiest!
(If you were not given any type of covering, skip to the third bullet point!)
You can shower, workout, and live your life like normal! You just want to avoid submerging your fresh tattoo in water for too long (i.e. long baths, dishes, swimming).
And no need to panic, seeing the plasma and ink pooling in your wrap is NORMAL! It is a minor procedure with needles at the end of the day. All you want to do is keep an eye on making sure it’s not too full with fluids or peeling up where the tattoo is exposed to the elements. If your wrap gets too full, there is a chance it will burst in your sleep and ruin your sheets or clothes. So we recommend just gently lift a corner to release some of that fluid, and you’re good to go.
If it’s peeled up too much where it’s exposed or getting water in there, time to remove it! You don’t want to trap any bad bacteria in with your fresh tattoo.
- After 3-5 days, you’ll want to remove your “second skin” wrap. The easiest way to do this is while you’re in the shower. We recommend gently pulling up the corner and trying to stay parallel with your skin. As you stretch it, it will begin to loosen and release. Repeat this until it is fully removed!
- Once you've removed your "second skin", you should have formed a soft scab over your tattoo.
(If you never had any sort of wrap, keeping the area clean and covered as much as possible should also give you the same result).
Once the scab is formed, you're going to want to keep it moisturized with some sort of ointment aftercare (our personal recommendations are Redemption tattoo aftercare, Toad and Turnip aftercare, or Aquaphor - the clear ointment, not the lotion/cream).
The most important thing with moisturizing your tattoo is to apply a thin layer (a little goes a long way!) of your aftercare of choice, only when your tattoo is looking dry. On average, this is typically 2-4 times a day, depending on placement. When your scab dries out and cracks, it leaves the potential for there to be cracks in the lines or color where the tattoo dried out.
You also want to be careful not to over moisturize/soak the scab to the point that it prunes. When your scab gets this wet, it saturates with water to the point you could potentially wipe off your tattoo drying off with a towel, brushing against something, etc. Until it's done peeling, you ideally don't want to swim or take long soaks in the shower or bath to prevent this.
(This is not a scare tactic, nor is this super common, but we've seen it happen, so it's something we like people to be aware of!)
Piercing Aftercare
GENERAL PIERCING AFTERCARE RECOMMENDATIONS- Clean your piercing at least 1-2 times a day with a sterile saline solution! DO NOT use hydrogen peroxide on your piercings.
- Swelling, redness and bleeding is totally normal!
- Yellow-ish 'crusties' will most likely form at some point in the process. This is normal! Don't pick them! We recommend softening them with a sterile saline spray or saline soak, and then use a q-tip to gently remove them.
- Make sure to tighten your balls (where applicable) with freshly cleaned hands.
- You don't need to rotate or twist your jewelry in your new piercing. Keep your hands away from it as much as possible!
- Avoid chlorinated pools or spas.
- Try to avoid sleeping on your fresh piercing if you can. We tend to move around a lot in our sleep, and tugging or snagging your fresh piercings could result in piercing bumps or keloids.
EAR CARTILAGE PIERCINGS- Try to avoid sleeping on your fresh piercing if you can. We tend to move around a lot in our sleep, and tugging or snagging your fresh piercings could result in piercing bumps or keloids. What we recommend is using a travel neck pillow, or something similar, to elevate your head off the pillow a bit and help reduce rubbing and snagging in your sleep.
- Tighten your balls at least once a day with freshly washed hands.
- You also want to make sure that the back of your earring isn't pushed to tight against either side while swelling is still occurring.BELLY BUTTON PIERCINGS- Try to avoid wearing high waisted pants that will pull or snag on your fresh piercing- We all get belly button lint here and there, so be sure to clean your piercing regularly to avoid any loose debris and lessen any risk of infection or irritation!
- If your belly button piercing is feeling extra tender, we recommend doing a saline soak. The best way we've found is to fill your belly button and a shot glass (or something similar) with saline solution, and holding the shot glass over your belly button so that it is completely covered. We've had a lot of clientele say this method works well for them!ORAL PIERCINGS- Stay hydrated! Drink lots of water. Cold drinks are great during healing!
- Swelling is normal for up to 2 weeks
- It helps if you can eat soft or blended food while healing. Avoid spicy foods, drinking, and smoking.
- Rinse after every meal
- Do NOT play with jewelry unless moving it to clean around the piercing
